Data rate prefixes multiply by 1000's!

I must remember that
in the context of data rates, number prefixes multiply in 1000's,
not in 1024's (that's for storage).

I should also remember that
it is convention to abbreviate kilo as a lowercase 'k'
(mega and giga are still uppercase M and G respectively)
